![]() Yes! I guarantee my work!!!!!! I am a retired Policeman, 24 years and glad to be out. I love my one strings!!!!!!!!and live to shoot and hunt. I use padded D-97 strings and a glove to hunt with. I train with a clicker, hunt with one, and cheat by marking my riser for yardage. Slow? yes at 155 but they fly without fletching good enough to shoot through a 3-d course to 20 yards! LOL. I am currently whitetail hunting with a Bear Warf (Oct 1 of course) with Winex limbs at 46 pounds and a full length MFX Beaman/125 Woodsman. Just got back from Colorado, killed a cow with a Black Bear riser and Winex limbs set at 48 pounds/450 grain arrow. I interested in high quality limbs but open for any suggestions. My draw is just a shade under 28'.I'm shooting for a 64' bow.36-38 pound 1/2 turn off buried bolts. I have a black bear warf(by loc do) that I'm wanting to buy limbs for. I do some of the Old Pearson risers, Shadow, 2400, and Prolines. I have zero experience with ilf limbs so I'm looking for some help. Whitetails are all wrong for Warfing, prefer the Bear Black bear and Hoyt Spectra/Rambos, TD risers with limb bolts. I will post up a picture or two of my conversions. I can build with steel, just like a lighter Bow for hunting/carrying in the woods. ![]() I do it almost duplicate to Bobs, except I use 7075 aluminum instead of steel. Oh Yeah, people ask what kind of bow it is I tell it's either a Boyt or Hoyear really haven't settled on which name yet.įor ILF limbs to be used on the riser, that is what I do, to convert them to ILF. You can readjust for 3 fingers under or split finger counter turning the bolts and a repositioning of the string nock.in a couple of minutes if need beīob Gordan sure had the  putting old contraptions to use by transforming them to trads :thumb: It took a bit of tuning in the brace height to get her right but the greatest thing is being able to adjust the tiller and weight at the limb bolts. I really like the handle, it is a bit heavy but that extra weight really lets the limbs do their work and transfer the energy to the arrows.makes for a fast bow. I pulled the factory rest and laid down some velcro rug with a little piece of leather under the outside edge to help keep the arrow in place. Pockets and drilled a hole for the limb bolt and two holes for the Hoyt limb alignment pins.tossed it together and twisted up a new string and viola' new bow. I built a warf a couple of years ago from a Black Bear riser and used a pair of Hoyt TD Hunter limbs.wasn't hard to do, I used some 1/8" aluminum in the limb ![]() Some risers are better than others but it mostly has to do with the overall length and angle of the limb pads. ![]()
